I'm Ivana Gogova, a Nutritional Therapist specialising in stress-driven immune health.
I know what it's like to feel capable, ambitious, driven. And also completely exhausted.
I'm originally from Bulgaria. I came to the UK at 18 for university and supported myself through both degrees. That work ethic became my identity.
Through my 20s and 30s, I worked in investment banking whilst raising two children. I climbed the ladder, worked the hours, did what you're supposed to do. But I was running on empty. I had my own health challenges that didn't add up. I tried different diets, different supplements, experimented with lifestyle changes. The frustrating part? I had no idea how to connect the dots. I just thought there was something wrong with me.
It wasn't until I stepped out of that world that I decided to study nutrition properly. And that's when everything clicked into place.
I started noticing patterns in my own experience and in my clients. Patterns where nutrition was only part of the picture.
Take stress, for example. Women come to me stuck in chronic stress, thinking nutrition is the answer. Eat better, sleep better, manage the cortisol. And yes, nutrition matters and can make a big difference in terms of your physiological response and adaptation to stress.
But if your nervous system has been in fight-or-flight for years, if you've built deep patterns around perfectionism and control, even perfect nutrition won't fully rewire that - you will keep falling into the same mind loops. Your mind needs to catch up with what your body is learning.
Our immune, digestive, and nervous systems are intricately connected, both in function and structure. This isn't abstract. It's physiology. That's why I take a holistic approach. And why I partner with trusted wellness professionals when another modality would serve my clients better.
I don't try to be everything. I collaborate strategically with practitioners who share a belief in addressing complexity, not just treating symptoms. My job is to get my clients the best outcome, not to be the only person in the room.
I focus on understanding you. Your health history. Your lifestyle. Your body's unique responses. This way we identify the root causes behind your symptoms, not just manage them.
I then help you prioritise the fewest, simplest changes that create the biggest impact for you right now. Your plan is personalised to your circumstances, preferences, and health goals. I don't earn commission from supplements or tests, so I only recommend what you actually need.
Real transformation happens when you address the whole person, not separate symptoms or body parts. That's the foundation of my approach. It's grounded in science but embracing the fluidity and complexity of our being.
I also run group programmes, workshops, and talks that educate and empower people to take charge of their health journey. And I value collaborating with other health and wellness professionals who share a person-centred, integrative view of health. Together, we offer stronger support for our communities.
I live in Bishop's Stortford and work with the majority of my clients online.
